Calcium 30,3%, ash insoluble in hydrochloric acid 8,4%
Feeding recommendation:
To neutralise the overrun of phosphor in fresh meat following amounts are required:
| for 500g beef without fat | 2 measuring spoons of algal limestone |
| for 500g cattle head meat | 1 1⁄2 measuring spoons of algal limestone |
| for 500g cattle heart | approx. 2 measuring spoon of algal limestone |
| for 500g cattle rumen | approx. 1/3 measuring spoon of algal limestone |
| for 500g horse meat | approx. 1 1⁄2 measuring of algal limestone |
| for 500g turkex meat | 2 measuring spoons of algal limestone |
Please, note that this information serves merely the neutralisation of the phosphorus overrun in raw meat.
In the calculation of the whole calcium need of the animal you must include the phosphorus content of all feed ingredients.
To the general calcium supply:
1g cdVet Fit-BARF Algal limestone contains approx. 300mg calcium
1 measuring spoon corresponds to approx. 1,5g
The daily requirement of calcium lies with approx. 50 – 90mg Ca/kg living weight.
Pregnant and lactating bitches as well as puppies in growth require up to 180mg Ca/kg living weight.
Lithothamnium calcareum is a living red coloured stone algal which becomes white after drying.
As 100% of purely natural material it contains a high part of trace elements and calcium.
Thereby it is suited ideally to cover the individual calcium part and to equalise the phosphorus overrun which have to consider during barfen feeding.
